Jacqueline Kress, OT/CHT
Fair Oaks Orthopaedic Associates is excited to offer patients the convenience of in house hand therapy services starting December 13th, with a Certified Hand Therapist. Jacqueline G. Kress, an Occupational Therapist/CHT, will help compliment our surgeon's skills and the commitment to offer the very best in patient care. Hand Therapy services will soon be followed by the addition of Physical Therapy to Fair Oaks Orthopaedics.
Jacqueline G. Kress graduated from Boston University with a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy and has been a Certified Hand Therapist for over 14 years. She has 24 years of experience working as an OT/Hand therapist in MA, D.C. and VA. She is licensed by the Virginia and District of Columbia board of Medicine and is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists.
Her career began as an Occupational Therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, MA treating both adult and pediatric patients with Neurological, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopaedic, and Traumatic Brain Injury. Her work experience at the Massachusetts General Hospital Burn Unit inspired her to further her career in the specialization of the upper extremity.
In 1991 she continued upper extremity specialization at Georgetown University Hospital where she worked for 16 years as a Clinical Specialist in the rehabilitation of patients with hand/wrist/elbow/shoulder trauma/conditions from Orthopaedic, Rheumatology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In 2002, while she continued to work at Georgetown University Hospital, she established the Hand Therapy Clinic at Inova Loudoun Hospital and most recently worked at Physiotherapy Associates/Leesburg Physical Therapy. Ms. Kress has been treating the Loudoun county patient population for the past 8 years.
